This website sold you what they didn’t have

Sounds fake right? No.

The Company I’m talking about is known by the name BLUECRATE.COM. This e-commerce store started in 2017 with the aim of finding the “perfect” gif for the significant.

They started with selling funky yet useful products such as desktop punchbag, giant enter button, dog umbrella.

The products you are seeing are normal but what made them special were their advertisements. They made emotional connect with us, they made us remember our friends, family, dog and what not other important peoples with products solving the EXACT problem easily.

The beautiful formula by “Simon Sinek” of starting with Why was made the best use of by this online store. It formulates the way of thinking by questioning yourself “WHY?” then “How?” and then “What?”. So, this company made their advertisements by addressing a problem first (i.e Why they will buy my product — How will I make them buy my product and — What if they don’t buy?

Their ads touched at least 3–5 Million views on Average and some videos even reached 40–50 million views. You might be thinking ‘views doesn’t mean you get money watching ads’. What mattered was ORGANIC REACH and I mean if you get to see this ad on your Facebook feed starring some DOG PET PRODUCT but you don’t have a dog, you will feel it’s useless but if I have some friend/coworker/relative who has a dog I will share the post with them.

Also, they promoted their brand through various FACEBOOK/Instagram pages with millions of followers which costed a handsome money but got better results as they were of the perfect criteria (i.e Dog Lovers) and when they saw their products they would impulse purchase it, not only this the website attached plugins given by Shopify to increase Average Order Value ( AOV). They did so by adding products on checkout/cart page and informing get this DOG Comb 30% off etc. if you buy now, hence the average order value would increase.

The most important thing which this company did was — It did not make any products, yes, really!

They dropshipped the item. Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product using the dropshipping model, it purchases the item from a third party (Mainly Aliexpress )and has it shipped directly to the customer.
